Adam Barron, club manager and certified director. Adam loved bridge so much in high school, he had to quit cold turkey if he was going to go to college. Attending and graduating the F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine, he served in the US Navy for 8 years as a medical officer/physician. He subsequently completed 5 1/2 years of anatomic, clinical and forensic pathology training at the West L.A. VA Medical Center and the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
Retiring from medicine in 2003, Adam performed many years of volunteer work at local hospitals and at his synagogue. In 2014 a golden opportunity surfaced — managing, directing, and playing duplicate bridge as the heir apparent to Pat Abbey. Adam is delighted he can now combine his passion with his work. He particularly enjoys the constant learning, teaching newcomers, and the camaraderie.
